GKirby Collection are very proud to bring to market what must be one of the finest examples of British motoring history available. This 2014 Land Rover Defender XS Hard Top has had just 1 Owner from new who has meticulously maintained and improved it resulting in this immaculate, better than factory Defender. Presented in Corris Grey with contrasting black arches and 16" Boost Alloys finished in gloss black, the car benefits from having had a full interior retrim in high quality orange diamond stitched leather. Starting life as a panel van hard top, the car was taken to have tinted rear sliding windows and rear quarter windows to transform it. The entire car was stripped out and all bodywork (including under the bonnet) was fitted with sound deadening before the lining was reinstalled with a light grey alcantara which has also been installed to selected panels on the dash board. The suspension has been changed a couple of times before the original owner rested on a Fox suspension set up with Eibach comfort springs, lowering the chassis by 2". A larger anti roll bar and poly bushes were also installed to complement the new suspension. Underneath has been undersealed from brand new and in conjunction with a stainless steel exhaust that has been fitted, the car looks better underneath than it left the production line. The driving experience has been altered thanks to a stage 1 economy power upgrade leading to increased fuel economy and a soft clutch conversion kit with servo assisted clutch transforms the usually stiff pedal found in this model. A short shift gear selector modification makes the box and gear change very tight and reassuring unlike the sloppy gait often experienced. The exterior of the Defender has had many cosmetic and functional upgrades such as KBX grills, full LED light conversion, all external and internal fittings (hinges, handles, heating controls etc) have been changed for Optimill Race parts and a carbon fibre snow cowl and rear door edge trim. Moving inside, the cabin benefits from an upgraded Momo steering wheel, hard wired in TomTom satellite navigation, and upgraded stereo system with focal speakers, alpine head unit and eq remote with subwoofer and being a later model and high spec XS edition, electric windows, air con and much more came as standard. With a good service history comprising of some specialist and some Land Rover, this is sure to be a future classic.
